Cristiano Ronaldo is set to launch another new off-the-pitch role as he teams up with acclaimed director Matthew Vaughn to launch a film studio. The
40-year-old, currently playing for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, is set to launch a new business venture towards the end of his playing career.
Ronaldo is set to team up with Matthew Vaughn, the 54-year-old director of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and gangster films such as Snatch and Layer Cake, as the

“Cristiano Ronaldo loves movies; Matthew Vaughn loves sport — and they both love a good story,” said a studio statement posted on Ronaldo’s X account.
Vaughn, 54, is best known for producing Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch while also directing, producing and co-writing the “Kingsman” franchise.
“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him — he’s a real-life superhero,” Vaughn said in the same statement.
A statement posted on Ronaldo’s official X account read: “Cristiano Ronaldo loves film and Matthew Vaughn loves sports, and they both love a good story. “They are
both champions of change in their respective fields and now will merge the worlds of sport and storytelling with the launch of UR MARV, an independent joint-venture film studio that embraces new technology alongside traditional techniques.”
Ronaldo added: “This is an exciting chapter for me. Because I always look to the future, to new business investments.”
